Project Prevail - Fort Worth ISD and Employers Working Together

Project Prevail is a comprehensive effort to increase the number of students graduating from Fort Worth high schools fully prepared for post-secondary education or gainful employment.  Local employers can partner with Fort Worth ISD in this important initiative by:

  • supporting business practices that encourage school success and completion.
  • making school enrollment a condition of employment for teens.
  • providing incentives for school performance and attendance.
  • limiting student employee work schedules to 10:00 p.m. on school nights.
  • requesting to see report cards and progress notes.
  • allowing adult employees to attend school/teacher conferences without penalty.
  • participating in outreach efforts such as neighborhood walks and phone banks/telethons to recover dropouts.
  • establishing, soliciting for and awarding college scholarships.
  • establishing college trust funds and matching contributions.
  • establishing internships and other school-to-work opportunities.
